Underwater Robotics

Underwater robotics refers to the design, construction, and operation of robotic systems that can function underwater. These systems are typically equipped with various sensors, cameras, and tools that allow them to perform tasks such as exploration, data collection, inspection, maintenance, and research in underwater environments. Underwater robots can be remotely operated (ROVs) or operate autonomously (AUVs), and they are used in a range of applications, including marine biology, oil and gas industry, environmental monitoring, and underwater archaeology. Their development involves a multidisciplinary approach, integrating engineering, marine science, and computer science to tackle the challenges posed by underwater conditions, such as pressure, temperature, and visibility.
